Semilab develops and produces metrology equipment used for process control and R&D in the semiconductor, photovoltaic and flat panel display industries. The company started as an academic spin-off in 1990, and entered the growing photovoltaic market in the 2000s. This resulted in yearly growth of 90% between 2004 and 2010. Due to this Semilab was able to expand its portfolio by both acquiring and developing new technologies.
